Simple and Fun Trampoline Exercises
Do you like to exercise and have fun at the same time in the convenience of your own home? Well, you require only one piece of equipment, and that’s a trampoline. It is a device that enables you to jump up and down higher than you normally can. Years ago it is used as a toy for kids or training equipment for gymnasts and athletes. Today, it is regarded as a great fitness equipment.
Trampolining improves your entire body. Here are warm-up exercise positions that you can do on your trampoline.
1. Basic bounce
Simply go up your trampoline and begin bouncing up with your arms at your side. Initiate and end every bounce with your feet on the jumping area. This exercise will help you get your lungs and heart going and start burning calories. Try your best to bounce and maintain the exact same height in every jump. Do around 20 repetitions per set and rest for one minute after performing a set. You can start with a couple sets in one day and increase that number as your endurance improves.
2. Bounce and kick
If you wish some of extra challenge and action to the standard bounce routine, try this. When you bounce up, right away raise your right leg as if you are doing a flying kick. Bring your leg down as you land. When you bounce again, do a flying kick using the left leg. Just like to your routine in the basic bounce, try your best to reach 20 repetitions per set at 2 or more sets.
3. Stretching
Your trampoline can be also be used as a frame to stretch out. When doing so, there is no need to bounce. Simply lie on the bounce mat with your feet on one side of the frame. Reach out above your head with your arms and touch the opposite side of frame. You might want to do other positions such as stretching in a prone position or spreading your arms and legs.
4. Bounce and stretch
Do the basic bounce as explained before. But as you launch yourself up, reach up into the air. It is your choice to stretch both your arms or one arm at a time. You may also create a few variations like stretching forward instead of reaching up.
